Question:
My husband (who gives me permission to post this question) and I want to understand how this upcoming solar eclipse on August 1st will effect him, as it will conjunct his natal sun in the 7th house by less than a degree.

This will also be significant for his solar return I assume. He is currently working hard to let go of some bad habits (patterns and an addiction) that have been a problem for over fifteen years. We are also doing intensive therapeutic work together (and separately) to strengthen our relationship and really know one another emotionally in new ways.

Will this be a positive force in helping him to really move forward, let go, and make a strong commitment? thank YOU!

Response from Dipali:
Hi, K thanks for your inquiry. The following guidance is offered in relation to your question. I suggest you also use your own wisdom and common sense to see what resonates. Your husband’s permission is helpful, as that allows me (ethically)- to be able to fully (instead of a quick glance) tune in and look into his natal chart which is a sacred space and blueprint.

From my perspective, every astrological cycle or activation (say from solar or lunar eclipse) has wonderful potentials. In essence, each cycle serves to help an individual’s overall evolution, spiritual development and healing. Even if going through a cycle does not feel good or brings up the worst fears to light. Every cycle is positive and helps one to become more empowered and aligned with their Soul or authentic Self.

The real question is; will the Individual “choose” to manifest the highest potential within the cycle that one goes through or not?

As I looked at both the charts and tuned into the energy of both of you and the question the following came through:

Celestial Twinkle: Mercury/Ceres and Jupiter

As the Full Moon energy subsides, you may end up finding yourself addressing a issue within the family or with a family member from the past. It may sound and appear as if its the “same old thing.” However, it may not be in totality. If you remain open minded to hearing the person through, you may notice subtle changes. If you choose to cling to residual emotions and not see anything clearly and words may come out exaggerated.

Question:
I would like to know how the august solar eclipse will affect my life and especially my relationships as it falls in my first house.
Any reply is much appreciated,

Thank you !
A

Response from Dipali:

Hi A, Thanks for your question.
This is a real general overview to your question, since you didn’t indicate whether you were referring to romantic/personal or professional relationships. Please use your own wisdom and common sense to see what resonates.

Indeed, when glancing at your natal (birth) chart, the Solar Eclipse/New moon in Leo at 9 degrees on August 1, 2008 does “activate” your 1st house. This particular area (the 1st House in the natal chart) will help energize YOU and how your sense of self expresses into the world around. So it’s time to put your best foot forward - let your heart guide you. Activation in the 1st house is all about your confidence, ability to be assertive, courage, physical body, outward appearance and your lens in the way you view as well as the energy you send out into the world. New Moon/ Solar Eclipse signify new beginnings and changes. What is up for you to change regarding your way of expressing to others or connecting with someone in relationship?

Celestial Twinkle: Dazzling Venus in Leo

Last night while watching previously recorded TV show which aired on BBC America “Robin Hood”(this is a great show by the way) - on impulse I decided to paint my toes with a jazzy tomato red nail polish. Yes, bold, fiery, can’t miss it “red.” As I painted and pampered each toe, I was deeply thankful for healthy legs and feet. That I can walk, run and climb easily. Even the visual of them being shiny fiery tomato red, was pleasing, like a miniature masterpiece on my feet. It’s a lovely way to appreciate the feet and toes for supporting me on my walk in life. It is all about the glam, dazzle, pampering and shine, with Venus in Leo. It’s all about the expression of love. The color is lookin’ good on my nicely tanned skin, I might add.

“The Lone Wolf, Climb To the Top of Mt. EMoShun” On July 18th, 2008, there will be a Full Moon in the sign of Capricorn.

Like a gushing waterfall, the Moon in astrology symbolizes the emotional currents. The Moon also represents; daily needs, feelings, females and nurturing. To Howl or Not to Howl, that is the Question. Of course during a Full Moon phase, you are apt to see a geyser of emotions pushing up and out, way out there. Swiftly feelings gush outward and just as quick, all may become still. An ebb and flow. Similarly, Full Moon tends to symbolize becoming aware of the hidden emotional tendencies or habitual patterns. Capricorn being an Earth element, may show us where we are too dry or barren in our emotional nature. The water element associated with the Full Moon in Capricorn suggests a “rad combo” of potential balance between earth and water.

This Full Moon in Capricorn, reminds us of this:
You; the Lone Ranger or Wolf (not to be mistaken with the range of loneliness ) are steadily climbing to the Top of Mt. EMoShun. You betcha, emotions from lack thereof, stuck, stagnant, frozen, dry, to flowing and clear movement to earthy, peaceful and content.

The path to the top of this Mountain fits only one person - you. The ultimate goal is, you must be self-reliant. wise and climb steadily - taking the trip upwards.
