New moon phase signifies new beginnings in the lunar cycle. Short and sweet they are indeed. Consider it a good time to set new intention(s), healthy habit and then follow it up by taking action to ensure it becomes a part of reality. This New Moon in Aquarius, is  sandwiched between Chinese New Year, beginning of the Year of the Tiger, Valentines Day and Mahashivrati (Indian Festival). This New Moon  is especially spiritually potent. New Moon is in the sign of Aquarius at 25 degrees on February 13th, 2010 coincides with Maha Shivrati (which is an important Hindu Festival).

We move from thinking on ground level into aerodynamic space where thoughts are jumping off the charts and new ideas are rapidly entering the mental energy body. Mercury moves into the sign of Aquarius (air element/fixed sign) on February 10th, 2010 after a long stay (retrograde phase) in Capricorn. What a relief, we can almost hear the ethers and internet a crackling with information at top speed. It is possible that we are drawn to futuristic topics, ideas that extend beyond the 3D reality and anything that is out of the norm. Now is the time to get together to have brain-storming chats with those of similar vision or liked minded groups and organizations to come up with innovative trends.

The remake of the movie “Clash of the Titans” comes out in movie theaters this March 2010. It reminds me of a rich, dynamic and complex astrological configuration occurring this year as well.  Of course some of you may have heard the whispers along the Astrological Vine or perhaps you have not. Ok, now take a deep breath, because you will be more effective expressing from a balanced state of being instead of not really breathing and having a blue-purple tinge on your skin

Feeling as if you are stumbling or fumbling with bunch of ‘gunk’? From February 4th to the 17th Mars retrograde in Leo will make an ‘re-direct’ aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. It may feel like your actions/passion are out of sync with your goals or plans leaving you experiencing disappointment or agitation. Do yourself a favor and don’t over heat from tension or difficulty that may be building. Re-direct some of that energy into constructive outlets like taking a walk in Nature, stretching, house cleaning or yoga.

Full moon phase of the lunar cycle has a tendency to bring out the best, loudest, forceful and perhaps even a bit of cranky emotional flair. If activated by some catalyst, pent-up emotions gush over or through the well-built internal dams or self-protective habits or masks. Right now, even a well crafted reserve won’t hide the emotional turbulence. The tears can be from laughter, sadness, spicy food, onions or just plain anger. Tantrum yoga may be on an all time high. At the same time, there is an urge to spontaneously express oneself in a stylish way with the Moon is in Leo. We are drawn to having fun, being creative and even a bit melo- dramatic (times 90%) …  all in the name of being in the spotlight.

The full moon happens on January 30th, 2010 in the dazzling sign of Leo at 11 degrees.

Jupiter’s symbolism includes how we approach our wisdom, higher education, idealism, and expansion in life. The message of Jupiter traveling through the sign of Pisces is “Universal Compassion for All Sentient Beings.” The call of the Mystic is the call of the heart. But the heart must be tempered with wisdom and clarity and proper use of power. When all united in greater alignment with Soul – great things unfold for all.

Saturn/Pluto symbolism is active once again this month and we will continue to feel the waves for the next few weeks (into early February or so). The pressure is definitely on. Pushing, birthing, moving, prompting and forcing. Endings and beginnings are all in the mix. Astrological transits (cycles) are not meant to stuff us more into victim-hood or powerlessness but rather to evoke our Spirit or Soul to be a part of our daily lives. Astrology cycles don’t “cause” us to do this or that – they symbolism things within Consciousness and we choose how to use the energy or qualities or not.
