“What is Pluto in Capricorn highlighting in my life? ” ~ Ask Dipali

Question:
Dipali,
In the article “Can’t Look Away — Pluto turns Direct on September” you suggest looking at where 00 degrees Capricorn/Aries/Libra/Cancer is in the natal chart because that is the “intense hot spot” that will become online as Pluto shifts into forward motion. I was wondering if you could tell me where that is on my chart.

Thank you for any insights you may have on this. ~ DV

Response from Dipali:

Hi D,
Thanks for sending in your question regarding transiting Pluto in Capricorn.  Yes, Pluto’s symbolism and energy plays a big role in your life.  I’ll share a few key points as an overview for this mini insight regarding your question. According to the Natal Chart that I’m looking at transiting Pluto in Capricorn is on the brink of entering your 8th house. Themes regarding sexuality, death/rebirth, intimacy (on all levels), joint finances, emotional/ psychological complexes, fears/obsessions/compulsion, control, power issues, how others value you will be up for transformation. This area of life (8th house) will go through a death and re-birthing.

One of the reasons you are sensing something going on as transiting Pluto entered the sign of Capricorn is that it is within range of opposing your Natal Moon in Cancer at 3 degrees in the 2nd house. Your Natal Moon in Cancer also natally “trines” your Venus/Mercury and Sun in Scorpio, this entire configuration will be “online” so to speak. Therefore this is the “hot spot” or areas of life you will be addressing now. You are wonderfully insightful and highly creative individual and can be very perceptive. You can use these innate gifts towards helping you move through this astrological cycle. {Side note: And then over the next few years begin its opposition to your Natal Uranus in Cancer}.

As with any Pluto transits to a personal point in the Natal Chart such as the Moon, it is an intense metamorphosis of your emotional self, emotional security, possible relationship with females and or mother, your nurturing side, home, ancestry, roots, sense of belonging and subconscious habits and more.  It can be a very sensitive time for you and you must provide safe space for this process. Since Capricorn is an earth element, this element will be significant part of the astrology cycle you are moving through. You may be challenged or to be practical, grounded, solid, reliable, and realistic about issues that arise instead of flowing in the world of feeling/emotions/imagination.

Things in the outer/external world through people, situations, circumstances may challenge you to let go of the old self-protective tendencies or habitual patterns that keep you from flowing forward in your growth and emotional maturity. The first stage is push/pull energy and then purging or cleansing out.  Fears, emotional reactions/pains, old memories and buried issues are exposed so you can confront them and transform the energy into empowerment. They may tie into your sense of self worth, body image and values (physical and spiritual). How confident you feel and where you need to be more emotionally assertive instead of perhaps passive/aggressive which is a common trait with the sign of Cancer (your Natal Moon placement).

The conflicts or extreme patterns are looking for middle ground and balance.  Ties with someone or something in your life may decay or breakdown and you may have to let go/surrender and move on. Grief is possible, yet Pluto’s energy promises wisdom and rebirth in the area of life it transforms from bottom level up. You may have seen issues or themes arise between February to June of 2009. These will arise again for you to confront and work with.  The potential of this cycle is: your emotional energy body/self ends up feeling stronger, lighter, empowered and renewed as transiting Pluto in Capricorn finishes it connection to your natal Moon in Cancer.

My sense is you will have intuitive insights and possible breakthroughs along this process.  It is possible you empty your subconscious of patterns regarding money, resources, emotional security as well as family patterns or tendencies you may be carrying on and don’t need to anymore. You may need to find ways to “ground or connect with the Earth and the physical body” or way of creating a solid foundation as this cycle of development moves through.

Hope this helps you begin the investigation on the self-discovery journey and healing process. Feedback is welcome.

Blessings,
Dipali
