The first new moon of the New Year and it’s theme is “no nonsense, let’s get to the business at hand.” The New Moon is in Capricorn at 21 degrees on January 11th, 2012. There are quiet a few planets in Capricorn at one time. Consider this phase to be extra focused on being realistic and grounded with your approach to anything.

The Sun and Moon united attention towards organizing and delegating in Capricorn. And a new moon phase is full of ripe potential and new beginnings vibe. It is important now to initiate and take pragmatic action to materialize something that is real, lasting and solid in our lives. Then we have Mercury, Venus and Pluto all in Capricorn. This would be called a “Stellium” or group of three or more planets in one sign attending to one common unified goal. In this case, it is the qualities of Capricorn. And what are those qualities? Structure, integrity, discipline, maturity, wisdom, commitment, longevity, organization, pragmatism, appreciation of organic timing.

Though with all these planets in Capricorn, there is a opportunity to concentrate on having “rock solid integrity” with all that we do, express, and share. Integrity comes forth naturally when one is aligned with Soul. It is representing the totality of your authentic self, not who you pretend to be or have fashioned your image into being. When a person acts with and embodies integrity, their word is like gold, and the follow through is a given. With so many planets in Capricorn, there is great concentration on having integrity within and being around others who also walk their talk. No guessing games, things are clearly defined through silent pragmatic action.

New moon phase suggests a new beginning feeling and with it being the first New Moon in the New Year, it is extra important to direct the energies in a constructive way. With a step at a time patient and committed we can attain the goal and reach to the top of the symbolic mountain. Capricorn is also the sign of initiation and attainment on a Spiritual level. It is that of self-mastery. Perhaps one possibility is that each must demonstrate a new level of maturity and self-mastery now that we have a new clean slate upon which to build a solid foundation for the year ahead.

One key here is commitment. Be committed to follow through on your word. With sincere efforts and due diligence, there are abundant rewards for a job well done. The fruits of one’s labor is experienced on many levels. And in the physical world, we may see things materialize that we have be patiently awaiting from long long ago.

Take extra care of the bones, skeletal structure and physical body during the New Moon in Capricorn. It is possible to use this strong earthy energy of the New Moon to help implement ideas and make real healthy habits which benefit the body and skeletal structure.
