As of December 16th Venus in Sagittarius dances her way to making a tense aspect to Uranus in Pisces at 22+ degrees which becomes exact on December 19th. This stirs up internalized tension to shake up or break up the stagnant creative energy inside of you. Bust out of the limiting box you’ve put yourself in. Finances, love and relationships are a focal point. Expect snafus to well laid out plans, leave room for flexibility. Surprise breakthroughs are possible. Also happening…

Venus in Sagittarius, Sun in Sagittarius and Mars in Leo all make a find grand fire trine or positive connection with one another. Talk about sassy, bold and expressive! Mercury enters the sign of pragmatic Capricorn on December 5th, 2009 and will remain in this sign until about early February 2010. Think of this as an organized extended stay within this sign. Our attention shifts into realistic, practical and grounded – bringing thoughts or ideas into physical reality with a strong foundation and in alignment with highest good.  The longer stay in this sign is due to Mercury soon to shift into the introspection instead of streaming data in the outer world rapidly. Why? Mercury in Capricorn at 21 degrees begins its Retrograde phase on December 26th, 2009.

Mercury in Capricorn brings the mental energy into a more stabilized grounded form. It may help you symbolically shape ideas so they may be used properly in reality. Each of us are invited to be responsible and speak with wisdom. It is important to slow down to really listen and then communicate.  The tone may be sober or thoughts could look for thrifty ideas for giving gifts. You do not have to have a miserly mental attitude, yet you may want to think practically.

For the holidays, if you need to get basic mailing, organizing, sorting, gift wrapping, shopping and such done – do so now. Waiting may put you in the “slow motion groove” over the next two weeks. Mercury in Capricorn at its potential has mastery over thoughts and helps to bring ideas into fruition over the long-term. We are invited to be patient, choose our words and thoughts wisely as well as perhaps let go of old rigid traditions that are drying up instead of adding life to whatever you do.

During Mercury Retrograde few suggestions to be work with the Cycle:
a.) Allow rest and rejuvenation phase for the central nervous system for three weeks.
b.) Rethinking, Reviewing, Reshaping, Redoing, Reorganizing  phase.
c.) Double check all travel, appointments, plans and such. Allow extra time for delays.
d.) Journal, Channel, Art, Poetry, Photography – non linear activities highlighted now.
e.) Go over past 3 months of ideas, plans, projects – clear out unwanted stuff to make room.
d.) Best not to sign important documents if you don’t have to. Wait until early February 2010 even to make important final decisions.

Mercury in Capricorn comes into direct contact with Pluto in Capricorn while making a tense (square) to Saturn in Libra between December 5th – 8th. This activation by Mercury stimulates the dynamic Saturn/Pluto square urging one to transform outdated perceptions, communication style or patterns of thought. You may find that as you move out of the right/wrong view you begin to feel empowered and acceptance of whatever experience is happening. There may be frustrations, delays or hiccups in communications. Take your time when communicating, remember the energy behind the words is what will stimulate receptivity or shutting down of the person to your ideas or thoughts.  Mercury will re-activate this point next year when it shifts into Direct or Forward motion. Take notice to the issues or themes that arise between December 5th – 8th.

With Mercury in Capricorn thoughts and ideas have to have a good long-term strategy so that the goals are met and there is success and achievement in the end. Take your time to really think practically, deeply and seriously about your life and the area in which the “Mercury Retrograde phase” is happening now.

It feels as if I’m everywhere all at once over the last few days. Multiple things happening all at once. It’s interesting yet there is an overload or pressure building. Being open to the movement of energy and a pop of clarity.  There is an electric buzzing in the air for those who can sense the energies building. This is no ordinary Full Moon. It has another major astrological aspect joining the vibes; Uranus in Pisces also moves into forward or direct motion. Combine these two astrological aspects together and you have high voltage emotional charge somewhere, somehow expressing itself.  Emotional fluctuations are happening big time.

Full Moon in Gemini tends to create a buzz in talking or chattering about emotions instead of feeling them out. We have the tendency to chit chat about all that is going on and even possibly send out mixed messages or dual messages “this and/or that” approach. In a way the mind may be too involved with the process instead of allowing yourself to let out the emotions that are surging inside. You can easily get swayed in the vacillation or straddling of opposites emotions: love/hate, like/dislike, good/bad and so forth. The Sun in Sagittarius is opposing the Moon in Gemini thus prompting us to meld or bring our conscious and subconscious in relationship with one another instead of splitting apart. With this full moon we may tend to feel easily distracted, irritable, feel as if we have to handle multiple things at once  or being divided in half. Take a deep breathe and let yourself feel fully whatever is happening in this moment. Don’t analyze it yet. Just be, feel and allow.

Uranus in Pisces at 22 degrees is moving into direct motion thereby generating or symbolizing a leap in Consciousness. This high voltage energy is symbolically activating each of us somewhere (and on a global scale). Potential breakthroughs are possible as is the urge to break free of long-standing issues. Rebellion or revolution to limiting factors in our lives is stirring the waters pulling us to be a part of the change. Peace follows. Intuitive flashes, revelations and inspirations are abound if you are quiet enough to sense and receive them. Uranus in Pisces has been in an introspective cycle since early Summer 2009. Now the symbolism suggests Uranus in Pisces will ignite more themes around spirituality, intuition, peace, surrender, inspiration, forgiveness and compassion so that we apply them in our daily lives. We have the opportunity to return to the inner peace that we are as Soul.

Venus just entered happy-go-lucky Sagittarius helps us to see the expanded vision or the bigger picture and share or relate our experiences to others.  It is important to network and share with others about expansion, marketing, networking and community services. Watch for moving away from ethics and over exaggerating all in the name of mundane marketing ploys.  Venus in Sagittarius reminds us to stay on course with our truth and integrity. Aim for the stars and reach higher instead of staying in the known ways of doing or expressing yourself. Venus remains in the sign of the archer until after Christmas. You may be feeling overly generous, watch your budget. Romantic encounters may carry a happy-go-lucky energy. Be spontaneous and tap into your inner wanderer to experience new experiences instead of staying in past traditions.

Leaving 2008 with a Sparkly Bang and then some:
December is laced with ornaments, lights  and jam-packed with astrological activity. Mars in Leo shifts into retrograde motion on December 20th and Mercury in Capricorn will being going into retrograde motion towards the end of the month. We have another Full Moon in Cancer (called a Blue Moon) which is a Lunar Eclipse at the end of December right into the New Year 2010. I’ll be writing more on this soon. With the upcoming Mars retrograde in Leo, I wanted to ask if this girl I used to be in a relationship will re-enter my life? I desire it, yet I also feel so uncertain. Hi,
Thanks for your question. Whenever another person is involved in a question, I like to state that “Free Will” is involved so it is the person’s choice whether they come back into your life or not. I can share what I see and sense in the moment and offer possibilities to you since you are the one asking the question. I’ll share guidance on what you can do whether she chooses to re-enter or not so that you… can move forward in your life empowered.

There certainly is unfinished business between the two of you. The change (break up) of the relationship was left in the air so to speak. My sense regarding your situation with her is; about three pieces left unresolved. Like three tiny stones that have to be turned over and addressed with patience, understanding and truthfulness. As the upcoming Mars Retrograde in Leo happens, it is very likely that the person resurfaces in some form be it – seeing her in person, by phone or via email. This retrograde phase happens in the 7th house of Relationships and “Others” so it is very possible to address past issues with a significant other that are left unresolved. Someone (or few people) from your past may show up during the next few months. This is so you can move and work through the themes surrounding the retrograde.

This issue is a matter of the heart, and has taken up quiet a bit of space like a block of color taking up residence within your being/heart and consuming a great deal of thought, emotion and energy. This block creates a tight squeeze almost preventing new things/people from entering your life. I do feel it will be time for you to take a step back, heal and take a deep look at what love is, within yourself and relationships. It’s as if you move away from the fantasy of what you think love and romance is and into a mature experience of what love truly is. It’s mighty, powerful and all-consuming “The Pressure is On; Turning Coal into Diamond” is the metaphor I feel syncs with this cycle. As we initially feel or sense the next few weeks into mid November 2009, each of us may experience some type of deep pressurized build up as we move into this phase.   Just when we get our feet wet wet with Saturn’s entrance into Libra, we arrive into the  Saturn in Libra squaring Pluto in Capricorn cycle.This major astrological cycle is a filled with tremendous creative potential and birthing of brand spanking new relationships of all kinds. Yet this duo can be symbolically “demanding” too. Yes, you can use Saturn square Pluto and its highest potentials to help boost you onto the next rung of the ladder of evolution. How empowering is that?

Buckle up buttercup, we are in for a ride. I feel and sense events in like a Pre-Birthing State, they are there but have not happened yet. Also with this pair of Saturn/Pluto square; everyone will be held highly accountable for their actions, motivations and intentions within relationships (Saturn’s symbolism). We may even redefine what is deeply important to us in relationships. Without a doubt we will experience resistance and effects on a Global scale with this astrological cycle.

Hi Kim,

Thanks for writing in.  From the birth details you submitted and your Natal Chart in front of me,  your Natal Sun sign is Capricorn  24 degrees, and so the upcoming astrological cycle between Saturn/Pluto square (between 0-6 degrees) will not be directly influencing your Natal Sun – due to the degrees being different.

Let’s look at where each of these planets are highlighting for you in your life. You may be sensing the themes and issues in a round about way.

As I look at your developmental cycles in relation to your question, I see a few different things that are going on.  On a deeper level of development; the area of relating, relationships, creative energy and love is being activated. The pressure may feel tense and rather pushy for you to act or be assertive in acting on the changes you know that need to happen within relationships including your relationship with yourself. You may not be trusting yourself or feeling as if there are obstacles on your path stopping you. The  energy merely is slowing you down long enough to ensure you act wisely and with confidence. If there are delays – value them as they are teaching you something about yourself and the way in which you relate to others. Relax and flow with the changes, like the ocean’s tides move with the rhythms. In the long run it could materialize new opportunity both on a personal level as well as professional.

Another thing happening is on an emotional level/home life or family – you may be feeling steady or having stability to some degree. The tone or energy of communications is now fairly expressive and can verge on the point of being overly boisterous.  Enter Mercury in Sagittarius. Ready to climb tall ideas, eager to explore new concepts, actively stretching the mind or broadening its point of view of the world.

Mercury in Sagittarius reminds us to explore diversity of perception, mental attitudes, thinking and ideas. It is like going into a big University with an array of subjects, classes and people. Hi K,
Thanks for your question. First I would like to say from my perspective and experience working with  Saturn/Pluto, they are two very important planets when it comes to evolution and growth.  This is where the ego or personality struggles or tries to control things. If we accept that whatever is happening is part of maturity, growth and transformation so we can evolve and experience in one way we can feel as if the difficulties or challenges have meaning and purpose in our lives. This is empowering.

From the birth details you submitted and your Natal Chart in front of me,  your Natal Sun sign is Capricorn at 13 degrees, and so the upcoming astrological cycle between Saturn/Pluto square (between 0-6 degrees) will not be directly influencing your Natal Sun – due to the degrees being different.

The major themes that are presented by the Saturn/Pluto square transit/cycle- in my blog post (or other astrology articles on the internet) is what you can work with.  The areas in your life which are up for transformation, restructuring and change are: finances, self-worth, values and possessions as well as children, love, creative expression and fun or playfulness. You may be feeling resistance, tension or restrictions (even delays) right now in these areas of your life.  You are coming face to face with self-imposed fears or limitations that need to be addressed.

The other area of transformation is in relation to children and your partnership (love).
