Question via Twitter:
How can a person handle nerves over challenging but positive changes? What do you do? ~ S.S (asked via Twitter)
It is a wonderful question and one that other individuals may want to understand as well.
Being in human form, nervous tension arises and is normal when challenges arise even with positive energy surrounding it. It is what we do with the energy – a choice that matter. Either we remain at its mercy and paralyzed or we can consciously choose to use it as a prompt towards increasing courage.
From my perspective and as a suggestion it begins with the perception that the new changes is an adventure therefore handling them can be interesting and fun. Conscious breathing helps to relax into the body and feel more grounded.
Nervous tension has adrenaline running through it. When there is a perception of the challenging but positive changes is an adventure, it helps ease the worry and anxiety of the Inner Child. When you make moving into newness fun and light it shifts the energy and the Inner Child Archetype is willing to go forward with you as the adult.
Set an intention such as “I set the intention to view this as an adventure and I choose to direct the adrenaline into action. I have courage.” Next, breathe and feel into the intention. Finally, take an action to set it in motion.
Each experience it is different. And each time you practice this simple process, feeling empowered and courageous becomes stronger. At each stage of mastery the individual has to sharpen new skill set.
Hope this helps!
All the best
