Celestial Twinkle: Pluto in Capricorn – Direct Motion September 28th, 2017

If you are reading this article, it is very possible you are sensing some type of urge to purge or intensity now as transiting Pluto in Capricorn at 17 degrees shifts into Direct motion on September 28th, 2017. Life feels turned inside out lately as if things and issues are more exposed than before.

From my perspective (and not all astrologers agree on this), Pluto carries important symbolism and qualities. Pluto represents the journey into the Underworld and finding the tunnel of light, death, rebirth, metamorphosis, catharsis, power or empowerment, trust, letting go and potent transformation. Extremes are evident now.

Pluto has been transiting through Capricorn for some time now. This transit has symbolically or quite literally demolished old crumbling structures, definitions, forms and traditions which have been degenerating anyway. The symbolic influence and potential of Pluto in Capricorn is integrity and rebirth of new forms, definitions, structures, organizations (business or otherwise) and relationships. Yet, oftentimes one has to shed expectations, the outer reserve or image and even roles for greater freedom and empowerment. This process is not always easy. It’s like shedding a layer of skin and the new skin still newly forming feels sensitive to air (with no breeze). Eventually, the skin is no longer raw and has adjusting to protecting and doing what it does best.

Quite frankly, any Pluto transit will not be pretty and light. It feels deep, raw, and provokes one to really examine issues around trust, control and letting go. When an individual works with Pluto’s symbolism and transit with a focus on letting go all that is not healthy and life-giving, it feels a bit easier. Certainly, with Pluto in Capricorn many have experienced some type of crisis and falling apart as well as deep unconscious fears coming up. Perhaps there are some individuals which thrive in a crisis and others who avoid it at all costs.

Pluto in Capricorn now expressing its energy outward again after few months of pulling your attention inwards, will now draw your attention like a laser beam towards the next round of adjustments, letting go, and birthing anew. Depending on your Natal Chart and where the transit of Pluto in Capricorn is, you will begin to dive into the caverns, extract old past artifacts (issues, patterns etc) that from your Ancestral lineage.

Anything that is unresolved, holding trauma and wounds, Pluto’s symbolism tends to dig up to expand awareness, empowerment and bring effective healing. Some primal or core wounds are also arising from the darkness. Hate, bitterness, rage and addictions are a part of the package when you are being real when working with any Pluto transit.

Capricorn is an earth element and cardinal mode of energy. It is very dynamic and initiating. This astrological sign at its potential knows how to delegate and achieve the best results for long-term success. Capricorn’s symbolism is about having the utmost patience for higher or Divine Timing and having integrity in choices and actions. There may be lessons around taking responsibility, or letting go of defining things which stagnate your growth and experience.

Pluto’s transits are quite valuable. As you purge, you create space for something fresh and new. Who doesn’t like a fresh clean slate?  Pluto’s transit through Capricorn is refreshing as things peel away and the unexpected emerges. There may be many individuals who have been going through major Initiations and rites of passage to mature, evolve and be prepared for new levels of power and responsibilities on a grander scale Spiritually speaking.  Explore the mystery and be curious of what is emerging from the symbolic cocoon, things just won’t feel the same.
